Sony Z1 iris stuck on closed
Hi I have 2 Sony Z1's both 3 years old and recently serviced and in great working condition- but only the other day the iris stuck on closed on one of them - after being told to give it a whack by a technician at Mitcorp (Creative Video) it came back on but it happened again yesterday and has shut down - anyone had this problem before and any idea what this may cost to fix and whats involved?

Re: Sony Z1 iris stuck on closed
Hi,
I have the same problem, Sony V1, about 3 years old, iris stuck very small, haven't tried hitting it yet! Got a quote of €700 from tech guys. Any luck fixing yours? Michael |

Ouch - £960 repair. For that money you could have (nearly) bought two Panasonic SD900s (£555 each, delivered to your door). And if you don't know how good the 900 is, better you avert your eyes before reading this.
