Backfocus / Z1U
Two shoots with my Z1U yesterday (which is a rarity since I bought the 5D).
First shoot, all day, conference room. Packed up the camera, drove to second shoot. Second shoot, high school football game. (I know, I lead a thrilling life.) Put the camera up on the sticks, zoom in, focus, pull wide, waaaay out of focus. Can see focus shift as I zoom in and out. Hell, somethng's wrong with my backfocus. No apparent backfocus control on the Z1U. We're not talking "could be better", the camera is completely unusable. Is there a way to fix this, or is the camera going off to service? |

I have experience with 2 or 3 Z1s, and the backfocus sucked on all of them.
With my own, I get around it by using the expanded focus button instead of the traditional zoom in, focus, zoom out. Get a quote for service, I guess. I know of no way to adjust it. |
