Please help! Z1 HDV Video and Audio off sync
Ok, SO I have been using the Z1 camera for some time, but as SD with the built in Down convert.
I am trying to upload HDV for this one project and the video and audio get off sync! Any suggestions? I tried changing the Audio lock to Audio unlock but neither way seems to help really, allthough Unlock seems a little better. The footage has a lot of record stops and starts (it was a wedding), not sure if that has something to do with it or not. Ideas??!?!?!?! PLEASE HELP!!! |

They get off sync suddenly, or it drifts slowly further out of sync?
If the former, you could have a timecode break on your tape that's messing up the capture. I remember this happened to me once years ago on a Z1 with HDV. Check the tape at the moment the sound goes out of sync and make sure there is no glitch in the running timecode. Try capturing the tape in chunks. One chuck before the problem, another after. |
