No, but you have many more options that are better than either the ME67 or AT897. It all depends how much you want to spend. Basically, you can use any mic you want. Just remember modular systems like the ME, Blue Line, ULS, and AT405x series come in two parts. That's good, because you can buy one power module and have exchangeable caps. It's cheaper in the long run.
