FX1 builtin ND filter question?
Just ordered the FX1 since Z1 bit much for an entry level amateur filmmaker as myself. Just added a beachtek to get the XLR.
Q: The built in ND filters what stop do they have? In the manual just tells me: "There are 2 levels of ND filter setting. ND filter 1 reduces the volume of light to about 1/6 and the ND filter 2 to about 1/32." What does 1/6 and 1/32 mean..is it a 0.3(1stop), 0.6(2stop) or 0.9(3stop) or higher? Welcome to DV Info Net, Bjorn!
ND1 at 1/6 reduces incoming light by two and a half stops. ND2 at 1/32 reduces incoming light by about five stops. Hope this helps, |
