Mixing footage between FX1 and DVC30
Hello everyone. I have a problem. I have a DVC30 while my friend has the new Sony FX1, well we were thinking of doing some event videography over the summer. The problem is that as far as I know the FX1 shoots only in widescreen ratio while the DVC30 has no native widescreen. Does anyone have any ideas how we can mix our footage together? Can we use sofware or can we shut off the widescreen in the FX1. I ordered Pinnacle Liquid and he has Final Cut for software. Please answer
PS. he would shoot all video in SD mode |

Hi Rusty,
The FX1 is certainly capable of shooting 4:3 in DV mode. Consult your operator's manual. It's in there. Hope this helps, |

It is on page 40 in the manual. Choose not to use the DV Wide Rec. You will get translucent black bars on the LCD.
