Batteries for PAL
I just got the PAL version of the FX-1 and I love it. Are there any discounts sites where I can buy PAL batteries or are the batteries the same? I can't use US batteries can I?

Yeah, but Sony batteries are so expensive, can I get discount off brand PAL batteries? Or is there no difference between PAL and NTSC?

Stick with Sony. It will save you grief in the long run.
Search Amazon.com for cheap prices on Sony NP-F970. I got two, haven't run down the first one yet... Yes, US batteries are the same... Regards, Jim Arthurs |

B&H has dropped their Sony battery price to $104 from $140 or so. I tried a "non Sony" battery that said "Sony 100% compatible" but it wasn't. I had to return it.

I've had good luck with the Assia NP-F970 replacement. These are 7800 mAh that work great in my Z1. I paid $39.99 US each for them. Got 'em from a guy on Ebay. I can get 5 hours on one of them, they render the Sony 570 as an emergency only battery

If my most link won't work, click on the one a couple above then click on his "Seller's Other Items" link and then search Sony FP-970, you'll see he has lots for sale right now.

link doesn't work
I get a message indicating that the problem is that my machine doesn't have the right cookies. Can you give me the store's name and I'll search Ebay.

found him
I found the company - capowerinc. The battery US is about $38. I sent him an email to make sure it works with the Z1.
