how do you post clips in this forum????

Sorry for asking a dumb question. But can anyone please tell me how to post clips on this web site. There are no tabs here to press that say "upload clip" or "attach clip/file".

I am eager to share with everyone my Z1U footage. Especially regaridng the barrel distortion issue.

Please advise,

- Nicholas

Re: how do you post clips in this forum????

Here is one way:

1) Goto http://www.yousendit.com

2) Send the file to your own email address

3) Copy the URL out of the email you get

4) Paste the URL on this forum.

The URL will only be valid for 7 days, and it only works for up to 1GB. But that is the easiest way I can think of without having to worry about bandwidth.

I couldn't find anything in their (yousendit.com) terms and conditions that said this wasn't kosher. They make money off the advertising when you visit the link I suppose.

Unfortunately you will need to host any clips or images yourself, unless another member steps forward to help. Once you have put them online somewhere you can create a hot link using the following technique:

[ url ] www.anywebsite.com/myfile.jpg [ /url ]

Remove the whitespace between the brackets and url tags to make this work. Sorry but there is no facility for posting inline images here at DVinfo.

We're looking to possibly providing a still-image gallery here at DV Info Net, but it would be separate from the message boards... images tend to slow down page loading, and we want to keep our boards fast.

You're on your own as far as video clips are concerned, sorry. As Boyd points out, you'll need to host those yourself and then provide the link here. Hope this helps,
