Hello everyone,
OK here's my finding after going back to Rule Broadcast. I did check out another Z1U that they had. Thankfully, it too was showing the same or nearly the same amount of barrel distortion. It's weird though, I could swear the Z1U I checked out two weeks ago showed no barrel distortion. A lot of you did say that because the Z1U is a 16x9 lens and quite wide...that some barrel distortion is inevitable. I'm interested to hear what the rest of you think about this. Do you find there is too much barrel disortion??? Is zooming in the only way to correct it. Can you fit another type of lens over the Z1U lens that is slightly less wide angle / or wide??? |

Hello,
Could you email me a few frames??? They don't have to be so big. You could resize them to half their size or a quarter. That would enable me to see the barrel distortion if any. I could send you mine too. I'm just not sure where to post them but I can email them to you. - Nicholas |
