My FX1 review
OK guys 'n' galls, my FX1 review is now on line. Mind you, I bet you're all heartily sick of FX1 reviews by now, so I'll leave you trying to find the deliberate mistake. And if you find more than one then I'm going off for a sulk.

On page 32 of the FX1 manual it states that the enlargement in the expanded focus is about 2 times. You said 4. Is that the deliberate error?

Great review Tom - which will make naysayers a bit sick - especially the "S-VHS" reference! I had an FX1 specially flown in by Sony for the Sithengi Southern African Film Market in Cape Town South Africa and the reaction to the camera from fellow filmmakers was identical. We had four camera crews covering the 10 day event, and the crew using the FX1 eventually swapped to a PD 170 as filmmakers were constantly interupting their shooting to ask to see the camera, hold it, etc.
I then began using the camera myself, and on several occassions had to admonish filmmaker friends who'd grab my arm as I was filming to ask about the FX1. Though not perfect, it's a camera I'm personally enjoying every time I shoot with it.
