This question has nothing to do with the FX/Z1, but...what is the name of the artist and the name of the song used in that video?

Hi Christopher,
Thats great work ! I hope you didn't get any sand in the gear from that meteorite strike ;0) Can you share more details regarding your 'base' setup with the Mini P&S ? Any Additional matte box/filters used ? FX1-specific problems encountered/solved etc... ? Were you using CF modes for this ? Did you capture externally 'live' through component or just straight down on HDV tape ? This was shot in HDV mode rather than DV, right ? Are you able to post some full-res grabs from the original footage ? Please keep us posted with any more footage like this ! Thanks, Dave

My spelling isn't great , but.
SER GOOT! I had the post people rocking out to this video ( wass viewing from the audio suite). Love the video and the music. Who is the band, any translation for us german-ignorant Americans? Website for the artist? The video looked like film, and the producer watching over my shoulder (film producer at that) was amazed. APPLAUSE..... Jeff Patnaude |

GREAT VIDEO!!!!!
It's about time we got some footage other then flowers, birds on a fence and cars passing by. *smile* I am assume your camera was the FX1E version. Did you use CF25 mode or 50i mode in HDV? Any filters? - Shannon W. Rawls |

Well, shite that's good looking! I was considering waiting the Sony FX1/Z1 out for Panasonic's next camera (DVX100B or whatever, SD or not), but now I'm tempted to run down to the Sony store at the Forum Shops in Ceasar's Palace and buy the FX1 right now, or at least preorder a Z1! =)

Looks tremendous.
Remember guys that this was shot by an experienced DP, and then worked over by a colorist on what appears to be tools more sophisticated than say, the 3-Way color corrector in FCP. But it's definitely evidence of what's possible...I wish people on the net would see this camera for what it CAN do, rather than picking it apart with the numbers. I'll have stills/footage of the music vid I shot this week soon. |

Hi, your work with the sony and the P+S is stellar. I'm assuming you used a PAL version of the camera, since the final output is 25fps.
My main question is what did you do about the interlaced format? Did you deinterlace to go progressive on it? If so, what did you use for that process? Or did you stay with interlaced the whole way, or use the Cineframe mode? Again, awesome work. steev |
