New HDR FX1 for under $2000?
There is a company selling the Sony HDR-FX1 camcorder for $1995 new. Does anyone have any experience dealing with usaphotonation.com? How can they do that?

sorry.. but I'm just curious how they would market the fx-1's body only? Dead giveaway ? The things we encounter when looking for a good deal ! Living in Mexico and buying always in the states , B&H is the only logical solution for me and usually their prices are worth the small increase for the peace of mind, in case . Kurth

"Body only" in this case means that the unscrupulous seller (can't really call them dealers as they are not authorized) is offering the camera only; the rest of the kit contents such as the charger, battery, AC cable, etc. are sold separately at outrageous prices, and as a condition of the camera purchase you have to buy these "extra" items from them as well, or else it's suddenly unavailable. This is a common scam.
