I've digitized some clips of the sugar bowl and grabbed some frames showing the MPEG 2 artifacts. They're highly visable on the freezes, but when played back on my SD TV via S-video, and when playedback on my computer monitor in full resolution, I don't see them. The SD version looks great, i'm not disappointed at all.. keep in mind, in most of these frames, there was a LOT of panning as I was on the sideline pretty close.

The images were then resized to correct for square pixels. If somebody has some server space, I'll upload a clip.. it's 58MB.. my server can't handle the bandwidth. |
