quick stream
Hi Guys,
Is there any HDD capture out there yet ...as quick stream ............that can capture straight on to HDD rather than tapes that can handle HDV Thanks in advance

I don't know of one yet. However, the FireStore people have announced that they intend to support HDV in the future. Perhaps their new FS-4 will be redesigned to support HDV? That sure would be nice. Now that I've seen a few FX1 dropouts, I think an external recorder would be mandatory for any serious shoots.

Focus Enhancements (the company that makes the Firestore)
has pledged support for HDV, see the following thread: http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthrea...threadid=24677 However, it seems unclear when the support will actually be introduced into a product.

I would want to avoid that tape thing all together if possible but I think it is going to be some time before it hits the market . worth a wait. thanks again guys as always......you guys are the best
