FX1 owners, question re: backup battery
In the FX1 owner's manual, Sony makes reference to a pre-installed backup battery for preserving time / date info. Can one of you guys take a look at it and tell me whatever nomenclature appears on it? Make, model, voltage, etc. Should be a small button-type. batt. Thanks in advance,

Looks to be some sort of OEM battery- I see no markings on it. It also seems to be soldered in or something. There is a thin medal flap that is holding it in, but it doesn't appear loose or spring loaded. I don't think it's meant to be removed and replaced by the user. (i'm not going to try). If others are braver than I, simply remove the single screw that is almost directly aft of the tripod threads.
The manual says the battery is rechargable. |

Thanks for checking, Mike. I had thought that the manual says this rechargeable battery should be replaced if the camera hasn't been used for three months, but now I've noticed on page 97 that it simply says "will be fully discharged" in that time. I guess it's not meant to be replaceable!
