Nightshot?
Does the FX-1 have nightshot, and will the Z1 have it? I can not find that info anywhere.

There is no nightshot and the HDR-FX1 is not very good at night. It needs light.

Okay, but what about the Z1?
And this might be a stupid question, but I thought the point of nightshot was that it worked in 0 lux. The point of it was in no light at all. All cameras need light, but nightshot was used to get rid of that need. What makes the FX1 so special that in needs alot of light? |

It is still special
At the claimed 3 lux, the FX1 is a good low light performer, I understand the JVC is in the order of 35lux.
All natural spectrum cameras need light, IR is a different beast as are image intensifiers. They can not provide the res, color or benefit that HD presents. 3 lux is god enough for me. Sounds like I am trying to justify the purchase? Tony |
