No. Sony on their pro HDV website clearly state that they do not see 720p as true High Definition and that they will NOT offer it on their HDV camera. Also, they clearly state that for now they will only use interlaced CCD's as they "give smoother motion".

I'm sorry I haven't a link to the article (is on the paper) the review (tuttodigitale) is the best in italy (in my opinion)
they have a site www.tuttodigitale.it but it isn't a digital version of the paper. I have sended one email to the journalist in order to ask information. The answer has been that the seen model all'IBC was a prototype, the characteristics could change, but also on the sheet with the characteristics it was present the 720P.
