Z-1 Stereo output
I shoot with two xlr inputs, one a mono feed from a sound board and the other a mono crowd mic. Both XLR inputs. I have audio monitoring set to Ch1, Ch2 so I can hear both channels separately. I have xlr channel select set to CH1 so I can get both tracks to tape separately for mixing later. I then take my feed into Wirecast for a broadcast on UStream. It is clear that my wirecast settings say stereo encoding but the viewers are getting one channel only. Can't tell if it is a mix into one channel or not. Any suggestions?

The Z1's menu will allow you to record two XLR feeds in various ways - as discrete and separate L & R channels (stereo), as mixed mono, as L into L & R and as R into L & R.
It sounds as if you understand this, so it appears as if the problem is downstream from you, and that either a mix of L & R is happening, or either L or R is being spread across both channels. tom. |
