Cine gamma control on FX1?
hello,
I have some questions and it will be great if anyone can give me answers. 1) I hear FX1 has cine gamma control like Panasonic DVX or Canon XL2. Has anyone played around with this function? How does it compare to XL2 and DVX100A? After getting used to cine gamma look, it will be hard getting back to the normal "video" hue". I hope it works as well as DVX's cine gamma control. 2) I use Premiere Pro 1.5 and l love using preset Magic Bullet Looks plug in with almost all of my work. Are these preset plug ins are going to work with HDV footages? 3) does anyone know when Prmiere Pro 1.5 HDV update is going to be? 4) Does regular DV decks(like Sony GVD-1000) work with HDV? I assume they won't, but just curious. 5) Do I need to upgrade my computer for HDV? (P4 2.28, 1G RAM) |

Hi Chris,
1. Not known yet. 2. Probably not. 3. Premiere Pro update is "coming soon." 4. Definitely not. 5. Sounds perfectly adequate to me! |

Chris,
if you are using the magic bullet for editors package which sells for $299 than you can use this for HDV.It works with NTSC , PAL and HD source material. Gabor |

Gabor Lacza,
you are right, I got an email back from Magic Bullet and they told me Magic Bullet Editors and HDV are compatible. That is an exellent news for me because I am after the most film like images. Too bad that these new Sony HDV camcorders don't come with 24P functions. Thanks alot. |
