Well, it had been previously announced as going on sale Oct.15 (last Friday) in Japan and Sony Style in Canada is saying, "The anticipated date of arrival is Nov 8, 2004."

Beat me to it, Chris!
I came thisclose to buying one today, but I'd rather buy the pro version. Then again, I may just rent for the rest of my life. I seem to hire people more and more to shoot than me actually shooting. Go figure... heath ps-The camera I use the most is the DVX100A simply because that's what my school uses.
