FX-1 Workflow
I know this was covered once upon a time... Mostly with FCP folks. I'm trying to work with HDV footage in AE 7. It imports wrong and is incredibly slow to render. I was wondering if there is a good PC Premiere Pro type workflow, exporting to AE in a less compressed format? Cannot afford Cineform BTW.

Cineform is pricey, but have you considered DVFilm Raylight? It's half the price and does the same thing for most intents and purposes.
There's no codec that comes with Premiere that's easy to take in and out of AE, with small render/export times. I love Cineform but Raylight is a good second option.

Ben, thanks for the info. I looked at the website, very interesting. I'm swamped by other things right now, but when i get the chance I'll try the demo.
