Vertical Noise bars on FX-1
Hi all. I've owned my FX-1 for over three years now and just discovered in playback that there is a prominent green colored noise bar which runs vertically toward the right hand side of a monitor/tv screen. This is present in standby mode in the record position and carries over to the tape. You can especially see it in low light situations. The manual talks of such a bar but if you're shooting a candle or lightbulb which is not the case here. I called Sony and they first had me hit the reset button but to no avail. Their only other remedy was to have it sent for service to a local shop for around $500.00+. Unfortunately, the extended warranty expired last month. I'm hoping this is not the beginning of a degradation of this camera as I've enjoyed using it for some time. Can anyone else relate to this problem?
Thanks for your help. Anthony Cipriano |

It's not your TV screen? You can see it in your lcd, and in the computer?
