Hats off to the Z1
I did a horror gig last night, a farewell for a workplace member (not my work place)
The theme for the night was Horror. The room was almost dark apart from some fluro lighting and candles, not one bright light in the place apart from the exit sign. I thought how will i shoot this as this will turn out crap. So i put my Sony HVL-LBP LED Light System on the camera turned it up full, i never do this but under this situation i thought i have to get something comming into the lens so on went, auto iris, auto gain and indoor preset for white balance. Well the footage has grain in it but the Z1 seemed to handle it. I had my Zebras set at 90% and the camera being in almost full auto i had zebras all over the place at times, over all i have some footage that i can give to the client and given the darkness of the room i'm not so upset. I hate doing gigs like that but a gig is a gig sometimes and you have to do them. Cheers Simon |
