FX1 Repair
This is a notice to anyone who sends out there FX1 out for repair.
I sent mine out and forgot to remove the Shoe Adapter - didn't think I had too. I sent my camera to MAC Repair for which is a repair facility authorize by Sony. They sent the camera to Sony. I went to pick it up and my camera was repaired to its fully working condition. But!!!! The $75.00 plastic Shoe Adapter was missing when I returned home from picking it up I did not notice it was missing nor I was expecting it to be removed. This is a notice to the owners Remove the shoe it’s an expensive little piece to the camera. Both parties are playing dumb. |

I want to neither be doomsayer nor malign Sony, however. - Have you checked your camera serial number? Did you get YOUR camera back?
I have been victim to such a swap - was not Sony by the way. It was a situation of my VCR's guts but someone else's outer case or vice versa. Never really did find out for sure but I had to return a perfectly good VCR which looked like mine. It should not happen in a systematic workshop however sometimes people turn up full of insolence and unreasoning rage and stamp their foot at the poor sweats in customer service. Things then happen in the race to get them turned around and the hellangone out of there. |
