Sound of voice not correct HVR-Z1E
Hi. Have just bought a Z1E and when listening to voces as it is downloading to the mac it is OK but once you play the clip back and listen to my voice it is very slow a slurrish and should be higher. I have been all throught the trouble shooting topics but can not find anything, does anyone have any ideas as to what I am doing wrong in configurations. I am using Pal settings. Thanks in Advance

sounds like you recorded your footage at a different audio sample rate compared to the sample rate on your editing software program. ie 44.1 and 44.8, these need to match in pro audio software otherwise you get a drop in speed. see if your sample rates match?

The default audio settings for the Z1 (if you push the little reset button, or get one fresh out of the box) are 32K when they should be 48K.
FCP can resample the audio if it knows its 32K (it may not), as can QuickTime Pro (which comes with FCP). I've heard FCP bleep the audio (as in, 'it needs rendering') but not heard the pitch shift before... |
