z1u zoom with camcorder pointed up? problem. at DVinfo.net

Hi
If I point my z1u stright up and zoom out and then in it makes noise and does not focus until it is horizontal.
Does anyone have this problem?
Can you try this on your z1u and let me know.

Hi Frank and welcome to DVinfo. Hmm, after reading your post I think I'd rather *not* try it with my own Z1 :-) Maybe someone else is a little braver than I am though...

Just did it with my FX1... worked perfectly fine (focused while vertical).
