GEARDEAR mattebox
Can someone post a photo of a Geardear mattebox with the Sony Z1 ?
What impression do you have on the item ? Seems the most affordable on the market comparade with Cavision, Petroof, Formatt and Vocas. Chrosziel is out of the range. In the Geardear, does the rotating filter rotate 360º on the Z1 ? Thanks for any answer. Camafe |

No answers ?
NO ONE has a Geardear matebox and a Z1 ?
Not a single photo and/or opinion on the Geardear unit ? Is it so terrible that no one has brought a single unit ? |

Sorry, no experience here with it, though I thought I'd mention that I have the Formatt box, and can't recommend it, as it is very fragile, and not rail mounted-an adaptor attaches it to the lens threads.
On the other hand, I love their filters-very nice.

Hi Carlos Manuel,
I like the Geardear alot. I have used it on the Panasonic HVX200, on the Panasonic SDX 900 and on different Nikon lenses with differnt 35mm adapters (M2, SGPro and P&STechnik). I would not see any difference between using it on the HVX or the Sony Z1. I can only recommed it, and yes, the rotating filterstage does a 360°, it is called on their website "3sixtystage"... Marc |
