Question, please help.
Hi, i own a Sony HDR-SR1 AVCHD and i know that the FCP 5 wont support that format. Does anyone know if the new FCP 6 does??? and how do i import images from the camera???

You could come out of the HDMI output into a Black Magic Intensity Card. http://www.blackmagic-design.com/products/intensity/
Requires a fairly robust PC or Mac (Intel only) with PCI Express slots. Works with Final Cut Pro 5.x and Premiere Pro. |

FCP 6.0.1 and AVCHD
I just heard on the Digital Production Buzz Podcast
http://www.digitalproductionbuzz.com/Podcast/ that FCP 6.0.1 will handle AVCHD. However I don't know how you would get it into FCP without FireWire. Phil Hodgetts recommended transcoding to Pro Res 422 to edit. Check on Apple's website for more information. |
