FX7 & Histogram view??
I know the V1U has the histogram view. Can any FX7 let me know if the FX7 has a histogram view?

outstanding!! I also thought of another question. Does the FX7 also have the macro shooting function which allows you (with the V1U) to focus extremely close to the lens?

I already looked there and checked Sony's site. It's not mentioned. I've been able to use a V1U so I know what features it has. I figured someone with a FX7 could fill me in. The Macro function on the V1U is a nice feature for extreme close-ups of small objects. I'd love if it was also on the FX7

Confirm that - no dedicated macro function on the FX7, but if it's zoomed out I can get it to focus on something that's touching the lens hood.
When fully zoomed in (and further back, obviously), I'm looking at a field of view that's approximately 1.68" tall and around 3" wide. If I slap a x10 macro achromat on it, then I'm looking at my 24x36mm DOF adaptor's field of coverage, maybe three inches from the front of the achromat, with the FX7 around a third zoomed in. Sorry, no zoom numbers on the FX7, just a thermometer thingie. |
