Still picture feature not working?
When I press the still picture feature, I get a message that states, "Cannot record still images on memory stick." How can I record still images?

I think this may be related to progressive scan or shutter speeds below 1/60. Try shutting off progressive scan and make sure the shutter is at least 1/60. If you want slow-shutter stills, just record video to tape and play it back. You can take a snapshot of video that is playing back from tape. It will automatically transfer from tape to memory stick. It is the same resolution as if you recorded directly to memory stick.

Thanks for the responses... Turning progress scan off did the trick. Now, the question is how do you view the stills on the V1U's flip out monitor?

Memory Stick
Hi,
Just put memory stick in my v1e - Scandisk 2GB Duo Pro wth MagicGate. Initially got the crpyic "Cant Record images to memory stick" error message. Turned off 25 Progressive Mode && Decrease shutter from 25 to >=50 Now it will take stills. Regards Ben |
