HVR-V1U donconvert question
Does the HVR-V1U do down-conversion on the fly when recording 1080 > 480 via ilink like the Z1 does?
Thanks, Richard |

Yes - I have been recording HDV to tape and DV through firewire to my Powerbook at the same time.

The only thing to add is it does downconvert resolution but does not change aspect ratio. You get anamorphic 16:9 only. No letterbox over iLink.

You do have those options for analog output but for iLink it is squeeze only.
