This is meant to transmit 25ft to your TV - would this work for capturing not raw, but say cineform or sheer, lossless compression into your NLE? J |

It is amazing to see what sort of gizmos companies come up with to fill the gap that is created by the HD DVD vs Blu Ray war and the delay of a reliable, affordable and widely available HD player-recorder.
These products are based on the finding that HD contents today can be played mostly from computers only and these usually are not in a living room but in some other rooms in an average home. I think this affects most of us who would like to see our edited HD materials on big screens, but so far usually we have only DVD as output. For PC-s there are some blu ray (and HD DVD) burners available, nothing for the Mac (what a disappointment to see the recent Jobs Keynote on iPhone, instead of an announcement of Mac Pros with Blu Ray burner...) Similar to this stuff is the new Apple TV - but that primarily tries to get customers to purchase movies from iTunes store...although it might work with 720p movies from the hard disk - providing one has the right Intel Mac around...and it has no 1080 support...
