V1/30p & Z1/30cf - will it cut?
Sony's Cine Frame 30 on the Z1 emulates the 30P look on 60i; The V1 shoots true progressive scan at 30P. What happens later in FCP? Will footage cut together nicely - even though it's interlace vs. progressive?
I've got a multi camera concert shoot with four Z1 cameras and one V1 camera. I want the 30p look which I have gotten in the past on multi camera Z1 shoots. Is the V1 the fly in the ointment? Too late to ditch the V1 - Should I set all cameras to 1080i and achieve the 30p look in FCP (is that possible?) thanks, chris li/ wash. dc area |

Chris, I haven't yet tried to put both in the FCP timeline, but have done so several times in Sony Vegas, with great results. The CineFrame is just ever so slightly softer, but not jarringly so against the V1 30p.
