HELP! Problems with Gain and Shutter
I just got my V1u yesterday. I'm now familiarizing myself with it. In general I like it. However, I'm having one problem. No matter what I do, I can't adjust the shutter or the gain.
Yes, I have the Auto-lock off. However when I press the Gain or Shutter button nothing happens. If I press the Gain or Shutter and then move the wheel it changes my white balance preset, not the Gain or Shutter. I'm beginning to think the buttons simply don't work. I can't imagine what I'm doing wrong. I'm leaving for a week long shoot on Sunday, so I'd like to get this figured out. |

Try:
For setting the exposure/iris wheel: Menu > Exposure/Iris > Iris > Dial Assign > Exposure 1/Exposure2/Iris/AE shift As you scroll through the choices the Line at the lower left will explain what is active. For setting the gain/shutter/WB: Use the REAR menu wheel. When the function button is pressed, the active function is highlighted in your VF/monitor and the menu wheel can adjust the setting up or down. I highly recommend getting a copy of Douglas Spotted Eagle's DVD from VASST. Holding the V1U in your palm and stepping through each function really helps to get to know the camera. Good luck on your shoot! |
