V1 More 3D Than Other cameras?

Was I hallucinating when I saw the V1 at the DVExpo or does the output from the v1 appear more three dimensional than other minidv cameras?

OK. I admit I went back today to look at it too.

And I think my A1 is suspicious.

I think that's a DSP thing. Something Sony is doing to the image processing. Not edge enhancement, but...? There's a definite pop. Sure looks good, don't it?

Something good is definitely going on with the V1 video. It struck me right away when I saw it in person. I can't point to anything in particular, but it felt one step away from the normal video that I'm used to. And I'm still thinking like that, even after all the drop-dead Canon A1 footage I've been seeing. Can't wait to get some comparison shots to see if it's real or if I need some eye glasses.
