depth of focus solutions with the V1
Am I correct in thinking that the potentially high resolution of the Sony V1 cam could provide issues when using devices such as Letus and Mini35 with their ground glass? I've been trying to figure out whether to budget for one of these DOF devices, but it seems like suppressing grain can be an issue - any thoughts?

Greg:
This thread, and the film shown there from the HVX-200 should allay those concerns... http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=79263

Thanks for this link Chris; Doesn't the HVR-V1U has a higher chip resolution than the HVX-200? I'm wondering whether this will pick up grain more than the HVX-200 - I guess I can test this out when I get my hands on one. |

The 20x zoom definitely aids in DOF, trust me. Very nice!
