still image capture on V1U?
i've read everything i can on the V1U and can't find anything about it being able to capture still images at it's full 1920x1080 internal resolution - i.e. onto the memory stick. does anyone know if it can?

If it's the same in this regard to it's 'little brother' the Fx7 (and i'd be 98.6% sure it is) then the maximum resolution for stills is 1440 x 810 in 16:9 stills mode (as per FX7 manual).
But in the manual it does say (take this however you want..) : "The unique pixel array of Sony's Clearvid CMOS sensor and image processing system (new Enhanced Imaging Processor) allows for still image resolution equivalent to twice that of the image sensor's effective pixel count". |
