FX7e in Sony Pulse

I just got sent out the new Sony Pulse magazine. I don't know if you guys get it over there but here - in NZ - it's a huge catalogue/magazine of all Sony's latest/upcoming products.

The FX7E is in there with a November release for New Zealand. Just to confirm what everyone is saying, the FX1E is staying, in fact it is listed in a position indicating superiority over the newer FX7E.

The thing I really want to know is whether the FX7 will shoot 25p like the V1, or if there will be a hack to enable it? In the pulse magazine it just says 1080i but both FX1 and FX7 are listed as having Cineframe25. We know the FX7 does not have this, so is this a typo or playback or meaning actual 25p?

AFAIK the FX7 will definitely not do 25p, and i don't think a hack will be easy, (even IF it worked which is debatable) and it would undoubtedly invalidate the warranty I would think.

A simple de-interlace would give an fx7 25p, a bit of resolution loss though. Search around for intfo on de-interlacing on this forum.

But I'm looking at it as an upgrade to my FX1! So yeah, not a solution.

Oh my bad, I guess it's V1, Canon A1 or bust then.
