Spot said the follow somewhere, " Picture Profiles also have some serious tweaks available; if you want to match a specific film look, it's not very hard, as the camcorder uses a 3D color Look Up Table (LUT)."

I wonder if he or someone could go into more details on Picture Profiles?

Sony sampled film stocks to generate a "Look Up Table" or LUT. It uses these as part of the options found in the Picture Profiles, allowing for some very unique, creative, and deep color manipulation during capture. These can be stored on a mem stick and shared with buddies or others in your group as well.
