I know that this concerns the FX7 and fcp6, but sometimes when I connect my FX7 to Pinnacle 12, the program will not capture the files, even though it has recognized the camcorder. What I have to do is to reinsert the connection (firmly) and then everything is alright. So the problem could very well be the cable, or at least how well it is connected.
