Can I use ex-XL1 Canon batts in my v1?
Have just unearthed a couple of old Canon batteries and charger from my XL1 - I'll be shooting all day with uncertain power access on Monday and am wondering if I can use these batteries as backup power for my v1. This is a Canon 7.2v4500m/Ah Li-ion battery BP-945 and its smaller sibling, a BP-927 2700mAh Li-ion battery. Any thoughts? Thanks.

Worse, they might also mess with your warranty. Not worth it.

doubt it very much - i found my v1 wouldn't even accept my 'old' li-ion batteries from my pd 170 (worse luck...)
