Shot transition
I am unable to turn off shot transition.
Am I missing something? |

My understanding is that the shot transition function is a one-time event that you activate by pressing a button, not something that is on or off. Can you describe what your cam is doing that you don't want it to do?
Page 45-46 and 62 of the FX7 manual, 46-47 and 65 of the V1 manual. Last edited by Adam Gold; August 28th, 2008 at 11:45 AM. |

I got caught out on this out in the field once, during an UWOL. I just had a mental block.
To turn it on: Menu - Others - Assign Btn - Shot Trans Then it asks Assign ASSIGN 1 to 3 as SHOT TRANSITION button? and you choose Yes. OK so far, I coped with that. So I did my shots, then tried to turn it off: Menu - Others - Assign Btn - Shot Trans Then it asks Remove ASSIGN 1 to 3 as SHOT TRANSITION button? For some reason I ignored the full message and just saw the "Yes/No" part of it, missing the vital word "Remove" and kept choosing "No" instead of "Yes". Like I said, mental blockage, and I know now, but it had me stumped for 10 minutes on a hillside in the cold! On my camera at least, the shot transition stays active until you deactivate it via the menu, so maybe the FX7 is different or my firmware version is different.

Adam and Mike thank you.
Mike knew what I was talking about. I did not scroll down enough on the assign menu to see the on off button. Mental Block!!! |
