Lance Control

I may have missed it but, what lance control are you using with th FX-7? I have an older Bogen / Manfrotto 521 control but it shuts the camera down. I need one that works in that price range? Any help!? Thanks!

Zoe DVXL works great with my V1 (which is just a posh FX7).

It's not the most robust (the adjustment wheel seems to be a bit vulnerable) but if you take care, it does everything you need and feels really good to use in my opinion.

I think it's about $50 more than the Bogen.

I believe that is a well-documented bug that Manfrotto has addressed. If you contact them they should fix or update the 521 for you.

I use 521s on my FX7s with no problems. I use 523Pros on my FX1s.

I have a couple of Varizoom VZRocks that work with my V1 and Z1.

I use this:

http://www.varizoom.com/products/controls/vzprol.html

on different cameras, Sony VX-1000, PD 150 and now on a V1E

never had any problem .

the VZ-PRO L is expensiv, but is has many features, like a very special Zoom Control, from slow--fast--slow or vv. What ever you like
