Finally I captured the whole footage using a hd handycam as a deck.
It worked flawlessly. We exported the footage from the avid and burnt some sd dvds for reviewing the shots. |

Stelios,
Try this: 1. First delete everything in XP, which has anything to do with the Sony V1E. 2. Set the V1E to DVCAM, not HDV 3. Connect camera to PC 4. Restart PC, it will find new device. Do what it is necessary 5. shot down PC, 6. Set Camera to HDV only, not "auto" (!!) 7. Restart PC, now it will recognize camera as HDV (Cant remember the exact name in device manager) 8. Now your PC will capture HDV from your camera |
