Locking exposure on FX-7
Is there a way to lock the auto-exposure settings once I am happy with them for a given scene (to prevent exposure changes as characters walk around the stage wearing different colored clothing, etc.)
I tried using the 'Hold' button, but this doesn't seem to hold anything constant!! (Atleast not when the auto-exposure function is active). I usually use AE shift to tweak the auto settings. Thanks for the info/help/advice!! --Robert |

It's a little cumbersome, but here's what I have to do on my FX1:
Slide the Auto Lock switch to the middle position. Then push each button for iris, shutter and gain until the respective settings show in the VF or LCD screen. If these actual settings are not visible then they are on auto. When all settings are visible, adjust to your liking, then slide the switch to HOLD. Should do it for you. Page 35-36 of your manual. |
