batteries + charger
Does the charger and infolitium batteries NP - QM91D and NP QM71D
from my hvr - a1 fit the SONY V1 And one more thing. Im going to argentina to shoot a documentary in buenos aires. Would you recommend go progressive also for documentaries??? thanks for your help |

No, the Q batteries do not fit . You need the NP-Fx70 series batteries. The charger should work, however.
As to progressive: a matter of taste and playback device capibilities. I for one use 25p exclusively.

Incorrect on the charger - the NP-Fx50/Fx70 batteries typically do NOT fit on a FM/QM series charger - I think the only Sony charger that has both bays is the charger included with the Z1U one end does FM, the other F series.
There's a difference in the positioning of the tabs so the "mini" batteries and the full size batteries need different chargers. And of course the FM/QM will not work on a cam that takes the full size batteries... |

I stand corrected about Sony chargers which I don't own - but I do have a third party charger I used with my HC1 "Q" batteries and now am using wit the V1's NP-F's.

what a nightmare. So I will have to get a couple of extra batteries, plus the wide angle, plus a charger. And considering than Im in pal land, and pal version of V1 is more expensive, finally I would be near the PMW-EX1 XDCAM price...
