Camera Hours

Hi guys,

Im new to this forum but i am looking at purchasing a second hand Sony HVR HD1000

This is what the shop owner quoted for camera hours
Operation 390,
Drum Use 240,
Tape Run 190

Is that high or low usage, When would the drum or heads need a service or to be changed. Any advice or pitfalls greatly appreciated

Thanks

Re: Camera Hours

Commonly quoted figures are service after 500 hours and replacement after 1500 hours of drum run. You could stretch that to tape run if you are feeling lucky.
