Hey I have to jump in here guys and ask a question re the downcovert to SD on the FX-1.
I've been using Roxio EasyCreator for some years now and am having a hard time gravitating toward Vegas or Adobe based upon the user friendly layout of the Roxio. I know it's buggy and beleive me,I have suffered in rendering a video. When I tape in HD and then download to the program, the downcoversion process makes the video "squatty" or distorted. Unfortuately, the softcare has no controls to correct this. The last thread talked about doing something in the camera during capture. Any suggestions as really want to record in HD for posterity but instead opt to SD due to the distortion issue. Where I see this, by the way, is in the final dvd product. Thanks for your thoughts and I love my FX-1 having owned it since 2005. Only wish it had XLR and mic mount but it was a heck of a lot cheaper than the Z-1 at the time!
