lens hood for the HC5?

no lens hood for the HC5?
and if there is, does it show when shooting 16:9 wide open?

I read that you have to take a A1U hood and slightly modify it to fit this cam...there is no official hood available.

Art, can you PM me with the details of where you read about modifying an A1 hood?
There are threaded 37MM rubber hoods available, BTW.

A standard 37mm rubber hood/sunshade can be found at *any* reasonably good sized camera dealer, they are very, very common.
