Firewire and Compression?
If you record directly from the camera to one's hard drive via a firewire to your NLE, bypassing the tape, is the output still compressed?
Or are the analog outs the only way of bypassing compression on the A1U? Thanks in advance |

Yes - it is compressed.

More like, thank goodness it is still compressed. RAW gets big really quick. I mean REALLY big. You thought 13GB/hr was big ;)
